Ephesians 6:10 – 20
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (NIV)
Are you’re a Believer in the Lord Jesus? It matters not how long you have believed, whether you have believed for many years, or just gave your Life to Jesus 30 seconds ago, I cannot stress the importance of putting on the Armour Every Day, especially in these Last Days.
Satan and his black angels is attacking you with everything they can, he knows it isn’t long until Our Lord returns for us, and he’s giving us Believers everything evil he has, our faith is being sorely tested from now..
If you thought life was easy before you became a Believer in Jesus, then I’m afraid I am going to disappoint you, you ain’t seen nothing yet!
So why is putting on the Armour DAILY is so important! It’s God’s Covering for anything and everything that Satan is going to throw at you.
So come with me…
Let’s lay out our Armour for the day…
Let’s take the Breastplate of Truth. Let’s lay it out, make sure it’s clean and spotless, and be sure the laces are strong and not twisted.
Let’s take the boots with which our feet will be shod and be sure they also are clean and spotless.
Let’s take the Shield of Faith and stand it against where our armour in laying. Be sure it too is clean and spotless.
Now Lets take the Helmet of Salvation and check the visor. If the visor is broken how will we see?
Now take the Sword of the Spirit and lay it there also. Be sure it is sharp, and clean.
Now, let’s pray:
Heavenly Father, my God who sent your only Son to die on a cross, for my sins. Take me and gird my loins with your Truth, May your Armour protect me from the workings of the evil one today and every day. I ask this in Jesus’ Holy Name, amen.
Now take the Breast Plate and put it on, be careful to ensure the straps are secure (you don’t want it loosening by lunchtime), don’t just tie them, double knot them!
Now take the boots, and pull them onto your feet, now your feet are prepared for the Gospel of Peace.
Then take the Helmet of Salvation, and cram it on your head, do up the chin strap because you do not want it falling off during the day.
Now take the Shield of Faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God and stand.
With all prayer and petition, pray in the Spirit without ceasing.
Now you are prepared for your day.
I can hear some saying: “I haven’t got time to do that each day”. Well, once you get into it, it takes less than a minute. And that Minute could be your ONLY protection for the whole day, Can you afford not to?
